Total investment in the project is estimated at 300 billion tenge (approximately $576 million*). The Ministry highlighted that this will be the largest facility of its kind in the country.

Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2026, with the project currently in the design phase. The company has already completed supplementary exploration at the Kistas deposit and the Akzhar groundwater reserve. Additionally, it has secured the necessary technical approvals for gas and electricity connections.

Previously, Yerbol Karashukeyev, the Governor of the Zhambyl region, announced that EuroChem-Fertilizers (a unit of EuroChem) also plans to build a complex fertilizer plant in the area. That facility targets a similar annual production capacity of 1 million tons.
