This project aims to generate low-carbon blue hydrogen and ammonia for both local and international markets, while also capturing and storing CO2 emissions from the production process. It is anticipated to be Oman's first large-scale project of this nature.

Wood will apply its specialized knowledge in CO2 and blue hydrogen to plan the integrated production facility for blue hydrogen and ammonia, along with marine structures such as ammonia storage, a 200-kilometer pipeline, and a CO2 injection facility.

To complete this project by 2025, Wood will engage its global teams in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, India, and Oman.
