Valmatic announces single-dose recyclable packaging solution

Valmatic has unveiled its PAPERDOSE Multicolor solution for single-dose packaging, designed to guarantee zero waste, lower CO2 emissions, and accommodate various production runs. This single-dose format ensures maximum hygiene by preventing contamination between uses. Valmatic highlights that PAPERDOSE can be recycled with paper, enabling the raw material to re-enter the production cycle, thereby reducing CO2 emissions.

The company states that PAPERDOSE Multicolor allows for printing up to eight colors on the outer side and features a flexible production process that caters to diverse needs, including small and medium production runs.

Currently, Valmatic offers PAPERDOSE as a co-packing service with capacities ranging from 4 to 40 ml. The 3D paper packaging is thermoformed and produced on Valmatic's FFS machines, utilizing FSC-certified materials.

Launched at the end of 2020, this service was originally aimed at packaging concentrated detergents for domestic use, industrial purposes, washing machines, and similar products. Valmatic later discovered that it was also suitable for the cosmetics industry and food applications.

Last year, the company partnered with Ital-Agro to develop Valpeck, a single-dose paper packaging system tailored for Ital-Agro’s Blackjak Bio bioactivator, targeting the agricultural sector. These paper single doses are user-friendly and versatile for various agricultural and gardening applications, such as packaging biostimulants and fertilizers.

At the end of 2024, Walkers Chocolates announced their transition to 100% kerbside recyclable paper wrappers for their Turkish Delight and Mint Cream chocolates. Developed by EvoPak, the new paper wrapper, known as RCM, employs the same technology as the ‘world’s first’ fully recyclable crisp packet – utilizing the polymer Hydropol, created by Aquapak, as a substitute for traditional plastic liners.
