Uzbekistan and TotalEnergies discuss cooperation in petrochemical industry

Uzbekistan and the French company TotalEnergies have engaged in discussions to enhance cooperation within the petrochemical sector, as reported by Trend.

This topic was addressed during a meeting between Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, and Marie Braouzec, the Executive Vice President of TotalEnergies.

During their meeting, the two parties reviewed ongoing projects in Uzbekistan and emphasized the importance of timely execution of prior high-level agreements.

They also agreed to strengthen bilateral collaboration and accelerate the implementation of the discussed projects and initiatives.

In recent years, TotalEnergies' partnership with Uzbekistan has significantly grown, supporting the nation’s sustainable energy objectives and infrastructure modernization efforts. The French energy company has invested in renewable energy initiatives in Uzbekistan, aligning with the country's goal of producing 25% of its energy from renewable sources by 2030.
