The project is being overseen by the Alabuga SEZ (Special Economic Zone), which is 100% owned by the Ministry of Land and Property Relations of the Republic of Tatarstan, according to a report by BUSINESS Online. The industrial park will feature two production facilities covering a total area of 93,000 square metres.

According to the press service of the Head of Tatarstan, production of polymer pipes and PET fibre is planned for 2025 within the industrial park. The complex will also include an electric substation, administrative block, training centre, customs office, and a service station for freight vehicles.

Following the visit of Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of Tatarstan, to Uzbekistan in April 2024, it was announced that the Bukhara Industrial Development Complex is ready to attract Tatarstan-based companies as residents of the park.
