The truck utilizes Toyota's fuel cell modules, which convert hydrogen (H₂) and oxygen (O₂) into water while producing electricity. This process results in only water emissions from the tailpipe. Additionally, quick refueling capabilities ensure optimal utilization rates.

We are pleased to partner with Toyota and Air Liquide to test hydrogen solutions for our long-distance logistics operations. We want to learn from this experience as we continue to work towards reducing our carbon footprint.

Air Liquide, a leading company in the production and distribution of low-carbon and renewable hydrogen, is providing hydrogen from renewable sources for this project. This partnership emphasizes the importance of simultaneously developing vehicles and infrastructure to promote a more sustainable society.

Air Liquide shares the same ambition as Coca-Cola and Toyota: implementing concrete solutions to meet the challenge of climate change. This project is part of such approach and will demonstrate the relevance of hydrogen for heavy-duty mobilityWith a growing call for products with low-carbon transportation footprint, hydrogen is particularly well-suited to long-distance transportation, providing flexibility and productivity.

Toyota aims to aid in the decarbonization of heavy-duty road transport through these hydrogen truck initiatives. This sector represents a significant portion of European freight transport in terms of tonne-kilometres. Given the usage patterns of commercial trucks and their substantial hydrogen requirements, they play a crucial role in shaping sustainable hydrogen infrastructures.

This recent collaboration once again demonstrates Toyota's commitment to supporting and contributing to the establishment of Carbon Neutral societies in Europe and globally.
