These alliances were formalized through a series of quadrilateral and bilateral agreements signed in Baku. This new phase of cooperation signals a shift toward greater collaboration in the Central Asian and Caspian oil and gas sectors.

A key focus of these agreements is the integration of digitalization, industrial safety, and procurement optimization. During a conference in Baku titled Digitalization, Industrial Safety, and Procurement in the Energy Sector, Rovshan Najaf, President of SOCAR, emphasized the importance of these areas in transforming the region’s energy industry.

Najaf pointed out that these partnerships aim to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety standards across the region. By leveraging digital technologies and adopting advanced procurement practices, the companies will be better positioned to navigate the rapidly evolving global energy market.

Experts like Maxim Kramarenko from Kazakhstan view these agreements as a strategic move to unite the energy giants of the region. The cooperation, especially in digitalization, will streamline operations, improve safety standards, and create a more competitive energy sector globally.

Roza Bayramli, a prominent advisor at the Center of Analysis of International Relations, stressed that digitalization will significantly enhance operational transparency and efficiency. She also highlighted that the partnership’s focus on industrial safety will provide a platform for sharing best practices to mitigate risks in the oil and gas sector.

The agreements are expected to foster a more integrated energy market in Central Asia and the Caspian, attracting foreign investment. By optimizing resources, enhancing safety, and implementing joint procurement initiatives, these countries are positioning themselves as formidable players in the global energy industry.
