SOCAR Downstream and Congo’s SNPC discuss refinery upgrade plans

A SOCAR Downstream delegation recently met with representatives from the Congolese National Petroleum Company (SNPC) and the CORAF oil refinery to discuss enhancements to the refinery and fuel supply initiatives, according to a SOCAR statement.

The discussions centered around meeting Congo's fuel demands, evaluating the refinery's state, and creating a process model aimed at boosting productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

These initiatives are part of a project management consultancy (PMC) agreement that was signed on October 11, 2024.

The proposed projects were presented to the SNPC management and received approval for implementation.
