This collaboration aims to co-develop advanced solutions utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to enhance the engineering design and construction processes for energy and infrastructure facilities.

The partnership will concentrate on three key areas: optimizing 3D modeling and project planning, streamlining material procurement, and improving the project supply chain.

By integrating AI-driven solutions, Saipem seeks to boost project efficiency and effectiveness throughout the entire lifecycle, from estimation to plant design and construction.

Saipem’s goal is to define a new way of delivering projects by leveraging on our deep experience and the potential offered by Artificial Intelligence applications to develop optimized, fast and innovative engineering solutions that enable our clients to reduce the time-to-market and support them in the path towards Net Zero.

AVEVA will assist Saipem in developing software that employs generative and predictive design techniques to create various simulation scenarios, optimizing plant design in 1D, 2D, and 3D formats. The ultimate objective is to reduce the time needed for project tasks, enhance communication among stakeholders, improve consistency, and enable team members to focus on value-added and strategic activities.
