QazaqGaz leadership reviews progress on Kashagan gas processing plant construction

During a recent working visit to the Atyrau Region, Ulan Burkitov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of QazaqGaz NC JSC, inspected the construction site of the Kashagan gas processing plant (GPP), which is set to have a capacity of 1 billion cubic meters. While there, he engaged with employees from GPC Investment LLP and representatives from key contracting firms.

The leadership of QazaqGaz received updates regarding the installation of distillation columns at the light hydrocarbon production unit. A high-capacity crane has been brought in to facilitate the installation of large column equipment at the sulfur production unit. Additionally, preparations are actively underway to position mid-tonnage equipment across six different facilities.

Contractor representatives also shared that they have successfully completed the preparatory work for constructing steel vertical tanks with a capacity of 5,000 m³.

At the end of the meeting, the general contractor confirmed their commitment to speeding up construction by increasing the workforce and deploying more specialized equipment. These initiatives are designed to hasten progress at off-site facilities, storage areas, and zones for commercial product shipment.
