During the visit, Acting Deputy Head of the Chamber Umid Pazilhanov and the newly appointed head of the Bukhara regional branch Shokhrukhali Sadillaev inspected the ongoing work at the site. The Petrochem Sepehr joint Uzbek-Iranian venture is responsible for constructing the facility.
With an estimated cost of $274 million, the project aims to implement more than 10 initiatives and provide employment for around 600 individuals.
The facility is designed to manufacture various products such as pentane, hexane, benzene, toluene, dimethyl carbonate, ammonium bicarbonate, caustic soda, potassium sulfate, among others. The anticipated annual production value is up to $240 million, with about $82 million earmarked for export purposes.
The initiative seeks to replace imported goods worth $123 million, with projections indicating a contribution of 214 billion sums to the budget annually. The plant is scheduled to commence operations by September.
This cluster project was presented to Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his tour of the Bukhara region in late May. At that time, it was announced that the complex, with a capacity of 460,000 tons, is expected to be operational within the next two months, by the end of July or early August.
