The newly launched hub, designed to foster research and development, is equipped with polymer and ceramic additive manufacturing machinery. These machines will be utilized for producing net-zero items. Additionally, the hub will incorporate equipment for material reprocessing to recycle waste materials and parts from additive manufacturing into valuable feedstocks.
Key machinery in the hub includes the Lithoz CeraFab S65, capable of processing materials like Alumina, Silicon Nitride, and Aluminium Nitride, alongside the Carbon M3 for printing high-performance polymers. The installation of polymer granulation and feedstock forming systems aims to establish a fully circular polymer manufacturing process chain at the MTC.
Through this investment, the MTC aims to bolster its additive manufacturing support for industries such as aerospace, defense, and energy.
