Together, they are excited to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on developing and commercializing innovative hydrogen solutions through methanol reforming technology.

According to the MOU, the three companies will combine their unique expertise to enhance the design, manufacturing, and sales of Methanol-to-Hydrogen generators, which are conceptualized as modular and mass-producible units.

Key Contributions by Each Company:

  • MGC will supply methanol feedstock, including circular carbon methanol, leveraging its position within the global methanol value chain.
  • Methanol Reformer S.L. will provide manufacturing capabilities for Methanol-to-Hydrogen generators under a license from Element 1.
  • Element 1 Corp. will offer its intellectual property and designs related to methanol steam reforming and hydrogen purification.

Through this strategic partnership, the three companies aim to expedite the development of hydrogen solutions, utilizing Methanol-to-Hydrogen generators to address areas where hydrogen is neither readily available nor cost-effective. The use of circular carbon methanol will contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with global environmental and sustainability objectives.
