The new entity will focus on supplying electricity and natural gas to both large industrial customers and small-to-medium-sized enterprises, while also offering services tailored to renewable energy producers. In addition, MET Polska will operate in the origination segment for power and gas and provide renewable energy solutions. With all the required licences already secured, the subsidiary has signed its first customer contracts, which are set to take effect in October.

After months of preparation, we are ready to begin full operations in Poland. Our aim is to deliver flexible and competitive energy solutions that help businesses manage their energy strategies effectively. As part of MET Group, our clients can rely on our experience, reliability, and long-term partnership approach.

Paweł Wierzbicki, CEO of MET Polska

Poland’s path towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions will depend heavily on industrial decarbonisation and a balanced energy mix. MET Group positions itself as a key player in this transition, leveraging its expertise in natural gas, LNG, and renewable power. The company already operates one of Europe’s most geographically diversified LNG import portfolios, which supports security of supply while enabling the coal-to-gas shift and complementing weather-dependent renewable energy sources.

With its expansion into Poland, MET Group strengthens its role in shaping Europe’s evolving energy landscape and supporting businesses in their shift towards more sustainable practices.
