Mango partners with textile recycling startup for new collection

Spanish fashion retailer Mango has unveiled two new collections crafted from post-consumer recycled fibers, provided by the textile recycling startup, The Post Fiber.

The Post Fiber collects end-of-life clothing from recycling bins, which it then shreds and transforms into yarn that is woven into fabric.

The expansion of these capsule collections in Mango Kids and Mango Teen demonstrates our firm commitment to scaling circularity in our collections. By collaborating with The Post Fiber, we can work towards a more responsible textile industry, integrating post-consumer recycled materials and supporting startups that are changing the way we manage textile waste.

This initiative follows Mango’s summer investment in the startup, as the brand aims to lead in the use of post-consumer recycled fibers in its apparel.

Mango reports that by 2024, 72% of its fibers will be considered ‘lower-impact’, with 25% being recycled. The brand's goal is to increase recycled fibers to 40% of its collections by 2030 as part of its sustainability strategy. These new collections will be available both online and in selected stores starting this month.
