This initiative will evaluate essential technical and economic factors to facilitate the development of a facility that provides sustainable fuel solutions for Central Asia.

Expanding our SAF technology into new, high-potential regions is central to LanzaJet’s mission to decarbonize aviation worldwide and provide for new capabilities in energy security and energy independence

Jimmy Samartzis, CEO of LanzaJet

LanzaJet indicated that the study will focus on determining optimal plant locations, production capacities, and integration strategies.

KazFoodProducts will leverage its expertise in bioethanol production and local feedstock processing to contribute to the project.

Working in partnership with one of the largest companies in Kazakhstan allows us to extend the reach of our SAF technology. We are excited to help drive forward a project that not only supports the nation’s strategic economic and environmental objectives but also reinforces our commitment to pioneering solutions that transform the aviation fuel landscape.

Jimmy Samartzis, CEO of LanzaJet

This study builds upon the previously established partnership between LanzaJet and KazMunayGas, which began with an agreement in August of last year to investigate SAF production.
