KazMunayGas appoints new head to oversee Pavlodar petrochemical plant

By the decision of the sole participant of LLP "Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant," JSC NC "KazMunayGas," Mazhdai Akhmetov has been appointed as the new General Director (Chairman of the Management Board).

The announcement was made to the company's employees by Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC "KazMunayGas."

Mazhdai Akhmetov began his professional career in 2010 as an operator of technological installations at Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant LLP. From 2022 to 2024, he worked as the head of the technical department and chief technologist of the production department. From October 2024 to January 2025, he served as acting deputy general director for production and chief engineer

Askhat Khassenov has assigned Akhmetov several important responsibilities, including ensuring the plant's stable and uninterrupted operations while complying with all industrial and environmental safety standards. Additionally, he is tasked with enhancing operational efficiency, increasing the production of light oil products, executing investment projects (such as the reconstruction of the diesel fuel hydro-treatment unit), and transitioning to a longer inter-repair period.

Furthermore, the decision by the sole participant of Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant LLP NC KazMunayGas JSC has led to the termination of the powers of the former General Director (Chairman of the Board), Kuanysh Bishimov.
