Kazakhstan extends restrictions on export of liquefied gas

The Energy Ministry of Kazakhstan has extended restrictions on the export of liquefied gas for another 6 months, Report informs via Kazakh media.

According to the order of the Energy Ministry, a ban on the export of liquefied petroleum gas, propane and butane from Kazakhstan by road and rail is introduced and extended for six months.

At the same time, the exception is the export of liquefied gas by subsoil users carrying out production within the framework of production-sharing agreements or subsoil use contracts approved by the President of Kazakhstan and having the right to a stable tax regime.

Also, restrictions do not apply to the export of products from Kazakhstani raw materials extracted at the Karachaganak field, and transit shipments starting and ending outside of Kazakhstan.
