Kazakhstan begins construction of $70 million chemical plant

Kazakhstan has commenced the construction of an alkylate production facility in the Pavlodar region, as reported by the country's Ministry of Energy.

Groundbreaking Ceremony: The event was attended by Kazakh Deputy Minister of Energy, Sanzhar Zharkeshov.

Project Management: The initiative is being executed by Intertrans, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and the Pavlodar regional administration.

Production Capacity: The plant aims to generate approximately 100,000 tons of alkylate each year.

Investment: Over 35 billion tenge (around $69.3 million) will be allocated to this project.

Commissioning Date: The facility is expected to be operational by 2027.

Alkylate is a high-octane component utilized in the production of environmentally friendly K5-class gasoline (AI-95/98).
