This project aims to establish a unified EU framework for sorting and recycling household textile waste, paving the way for a more sustainable and circular future in the fashion industry. By uniting key stakeholders along the value chain, the project leads the way in sustainable advancements.

In this initiative, Indorama Ventures, the designated spinning partner, will transform chemical recycled feedstock into polyester yarns and fibers using the extrusion process, ensuring high purity levels. This commitment aligns with the company's mission to promote the circular economy and sustainable fashion industry through PET recycling and the supply of recycled materials.

Indorama Ventures has decades-long experience in manmade-fibers processes, especially in polyester, and we are committed to driving sustainable solutions and the use of circular feedstock across the value chain to help our partners achieve their sustainability goals. We look forward to leveraging our technical expertise to contribute towards the success of the textile-to-textile recycling within the T-REX Project.

The T-REX Project's primary goal is to develop a unified framework that supports a circular system for post-consumer textile waste in Europe. This EU-funded endeavor involves a consortium of 13 key industry players and research institutes collaborating to turn discarded textiles into valuable resources for new business models on a large scale.
