Hugo Boss introduces Novapoly as a yarn made from recycled textile waste

HUGO BOSS has launched NovaPoly, a groundbreaking recycled polyester yarn developed in collaboration with its suppliers, Jiaren Chemical Recycling and NBC LLC.

With exclusive rights for the first year, HUGO BOSS aims to establish new industry benchmarks and plans to license NovaPoly throughout the fashion industry in the future. As part of the BOSS THE CHANGE initiative, the inaugural BOSS Green products featuring NovaPoly are set to debut globally in October 2025.

Currently, NovaPoly is exclusively available for the BOSS and HUGO brands. However, the company is actively pursuing a licensing model to broaden access to this innovative fiber for a wider range of industry partners in the future. NovaPoly is crafted from textile waste generated during clothing production, as well as from post-consumer sources.

It is enhanced with a natural additive that replicates the natural behavior of fibers in the environment, making it biodegradable. This innovation aligns with HUGO BOSS's strategic goal to combat microplastics, a crucial aspect of the company’s sustainability strategy. NovaPoly also complements HUGO BOSS's ongoing efforts to develop alternatives to polyester and polyamide fibers, as demonstrated in its previous collaboration with HeiQ AeoniQ.

Beginning in October 2025, products containing NovaPoly will be available for purchase online, in BOSS stores, and through select wholesale retail partners worldwide. As part of the Spring/Summer 2026 collection for BOSS Green, the yarn will be incorporated into select performance wear items.
