This new facility will be situated within an existing distribution center in the Fort Worth, Texas area and aims to enhance the infrastructure necessary for a circular economy in plastics.
Agilyx, ExxonMobil, and LyondellBasell are collectively investing $135 million to support the construction and operations of CCC2, which is anticipated to begin operations in the latter half of 2026. Once operational, this facility is expected to generate around 300 million pounds of plastic waste feedstock annually for clients utilizing mechanical and advanced recycling technologies. Similar to the groundbreaking Cyclyx Circularity Center (CCC1), which is on track to start in 2025 in Houston, CCC2 is projected to create over 100 jobs in the local area.
Cyclyx Circularity Centers are specifically designed to accept a wide variety of plastic waste streams, including those not commonly processed by current recycling programs. Together, CCC1 and CCC2 will have the capacity to produce an estimated 600 million pounds of plastic waste feedstock each year, marking significant progress toward establishing a more sustainable circular economy for plastics.
As part of its strategic vision, Cyclyx is also investigating the development of additional CCCs in key locations across the United States.
