This innovative technology allows for the automation of stage delivery execution at the touch of a button. Coterra is the first operator to fully automate and oversee their hydraulic fracturing design and execution.

The Octiv Auto Frac service enhances Halliburton's Zeus intelligent fracturing platform by integrating advanced electric pumping units and the Sensori™ fracture monitoring service. Previously, fracture decisions were made manually during the pumping process. Now, Coterra can configure the Octiv Auto Frac service to meet their specifications and automate the entire fracturing process.

Octiv Auto Frac changes the game of completion performance. The service ensures that automation delivers consistent fracture execution every stage while giving our customers the control they demand over their assets. The Octiv Auto Frac service is the first system to deliver on this promise.

Both Coterra and Halliburton understand that automation is crucial for maintaining consistency and control during fracture execution. The initial launch of this service resulted in a 17% boost in stage efficiency. Encouraged by these outcomes, Coterra has implemented the Octiv Auto Frac service across its remaining completion programs executed by Halliburton in the Permian Basin.

Coterra remains focused on maximizing efficiencies and exploring new opportunities to improve our operations. The deployment of intelligent automation for hydraulic fracturing helps us execute stages consistently and provides us with more autonomy and control over the completion process.

Coterra’s integration of the Octiv Auto Frac service reflects its commitment to enhancing operational performance through the use of cutting-edge technologies.
