YECC is part of the Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group, which ranks as China's fourth largest oil producer and boasts substantial petrochemical production facilities in Shaanxi, Northwestern China. The new plant will be situated in Yangqiaopan, Jingbian County, Yulin City, in Shaanxi Province. ECI Group’s technology will empower the facility to produce 150,000 tonnes annually of LDPE, EVA, EBA, and other high-value copolymer products, with potential for future capacity and product capability expansion.

ECI Group will supply the technology license, process design package, expanded process design package, and detailed design for the high-pressure system, along with technical procurement services and on-site technical support during installation, startup, and performance evaluation. They will collaborate with Repsol, which will bring extensive technical, operational, and commercial expertise. With over 40 years of experience in producing LDPE, EVA, and EBA polymer products at its industrial complexes in Spain and Portugal, Repsol's support will be invaluable.

The hybrid reactor technology developed by ECI Group builds upon the established ICI autoclave technology, delivering a diverse array of high-pressure polyethylene products while ensuring exceptional operational efficiency, reliability, and flexibility. This technology significantly enhances product range, reliability, and expandability compared to the original ICI technology and has been fine-tuned to leverage modern materials, design practices, standards, and industry best practices for construction, operation, and maintenance. Since 2021, ECI Group has licensed plant capacities of 50kta, 100kta, 150kta, and 200kta, all based on ECI Group’s standardized design approach. This licensing agreement with YECC underscores the reputation and adaptability of ECI Group’s hybrid reactor technology.
