China plans to construct solar power plant in Tajikistan

China Datang Corporation, a Chinese state-owned company, plans to construct a 500 MW solar power plant in Tajikistan's Sughd region, as reported by TASS citing the press center of the regional administration.

During a meeting with Wang Hao, the corporation's Central Asia general director, Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, the region's leader, expressed willingness to collaborate on green energy production with a Chinese investor.

Moreover, Ahmadzoda engaged with experts from the Beijing Scientific Research and Technical Institute, who will investigate the construction of two new railway lines spanning 171 km from Spitamen to Istaravshan and Istiklol in the Sughd region.

In a separate interaction with Khatlon region administration, Wang Hao discussed plans to establish a solar cell plant for generating clean energy in the area.
