Batumi Sea Port LLC and KazAzot JSC signed an agreement to increase the volume of ammonium nitrate transshipment

Batumi Sea Port LLC and KazAzot JSC have reached an agreement to enhance the volume of ammonium nitrate transshipment for KazAzot JSC via Batumi Sea Port LLC.

The companies signed a Memorandum of Cooperation as part of their efforts to foster entrepreneurial activity and international collaboration, particularly focusing on the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.

In March 2024, Batumi Sea Port LLC commenced shipments of Kazakhstani ammonium nitrate, with KazAzot JSC as the shipper. The mineral fertilizer is transported from the port of Aktau to the port of Govsan (Azerbaijan), where it is then transshipped at Batumi Seaport (Georgia) for subsequent export to global markets.

Throughout 2024, Batumi Sea Port LLC facilitated the delivery of 37.6 thousand tons of Kazakh ammonium nitrate along the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
