The focus of the meeting was on the importance of energy initiatives under the COP29 presidency, along with Azerbaijan’s projects aimed at producing and exporting "green" energy. They emphasized the role of these initiatives in strengthening energy security and supporting the global shift towards sustainable energy.

It was noted that, due to wind and solar energy projects, the proportion of renewable energy in Azerbaijan's installed electricity capacity is projected to increase to 33% by 2027 and reach 35.5% by 2030.

Moreover, the discussions included a comprehensive exchange of perspectives on supplying "green" energy and "green" gas from Azerbaijan and Central Asia to Europe and Türkiye, as well as the establishment of energy storage systems to enhance the reliability of renewable energy sources.

Latvia also contributed by sharing its experiences in renewable energy, leading to an in-depth discussion about the potential for future collaboration in the energy sector.
