“Green Hydrogen production in Kazakhstan prospects and challenges”

GO NET ZERO ENERGY - CASPIAN AND CENTRAL ASIA
An interview with Ainur Tumysheva, Investment Director, HYRASIA ENERGY - Hydrogen Production in Central Asia & Caspian Region 2023.

We must understand that this is quite new from a technological perspective and in terms of the scale of the project. However, they work very closely with us on issues of permits and licenses, legislative base, as well as in the search for application and integration into industry for the use of hydrogen in the future.

Some debates are being held in the country about the use of blue hydrogen compared to green hydrogen.

International energy agencies have already provided statistical data that by 2030 the global market will need about 100 million tons of clean hydrogen annually for decarbonization needs.

And by 2050 this number will increase from 500 million tons to 800 million tons of clean hydrogen per year. And only the European Union, starting from 2030, will have to import, produce 10 million tons of clean hydrogen each year and also import 10 million tons of clean hydrogen.

Thus, we hope to become part of this large-scale transformation in industrial development, in the transition to the use of clean hydrogen both in the transport sector and in the industrial use of clean hydrogen.
