ADNOC and AIQ accelerate deployment of industry-first AR360 AI solution

ADNOC has announced the implementation of AIQ’s Advanced Reservoir 360 (AR360) solution across over 30 reservoirs in its upstream operations. This follows a successful initial deployment in early 2024 on two ADNOC reservoirs located in the Bab and Umm Shaif fields.

AR360, developed by AIQ in collaboration with SLB as part of ADNOC’s ENERGYai strategy for artificial intelligence and digital technology, leverages AI and machine learning to enhance reservoir management and optimize field development planning.

The integration of AR360 across more of our reservoirs is a testament to our success in harnessing AI and advanced technologies to unlock more value from our natural resources. Building on decades of investment in innovation and technology, we will continue to accelerate the deployment of AI solutions from the control room to the boardroom as we responsibly meet the growing global energy demand.

The solution significantly reduces planning time while improving well longevity and recovery rates by maintaining an optimal balance between drilling new wells, enhancing the performance of existing ones, and fine-tuning injection and production volumes.

In contrast to conventional forecasting technologies that necessitate navigating multiple software platforms and data sets—often leading to inefficiencies—AR360 consolidates all functions into a single platform, employing AI to facilitate quicker and more informed decision-making.

The extended deployment of AR360 by ADNOC is an important endorsement of our technology and reinforces the emergence of AIQ as a developing global AI supplier for the energy sector. We are committed to continue driving greater operational efficiencies across the entire energy value chain, and in upstream operations in particular, and unlock greater value for the industry.

To date, ADNOC has introduced over 30 AI tools, spanning from the control room to the boardroom, aimed at improving safety, minimizing emissions, optimizing efficiency, and maximizing value.
