The Importance of the Middle Corridor

The Middle Corridor is a vital transport and trade route that connects Asia and Europe, passing through various countries in the region. It is increasingly recognized as a practical alternative to the conventional North and South Corridors.

This means we must ensure the integrated development of transport systems, logistics infrastructure, and business along the corridor, all of which stand to benefit from improved connectivity. The corridor’s development requires coordinated efforts between public and private sectors

Zhukov emphasized

This corridor provides a land-based link between East Asia, including China, and Europe, circumventing longer maritime journeys and enhancing overall efficiency.

As freight and logistics volumes rise, the Middle Corridor is rapidly emerging as a key route for intercontinental trade, promising to facilitate regional economic integration and development.
